This past Tuesday over 80 past and prospective students showed up at the Fashion & Merchandising Department to hear about the courses coming up this summer and fall. With 21 to choose from, and only so many hours in the day, it will be a difficult decision for many of us! Students and faculty helped make the selection easier by talking about each class in greater detail. (The salads and chips may have helped a little too.)

Honored guests included Cañada College President Jamillah Moore and Neal Helsley, student Sandra Helsley’s now 2-month-old baby boy! Here are a few photos commemorating the event.

College President Jamillah Moore introduced herself to students and praised the department. Thank you, President Moore, for stopping by!
Tha main classroom was packed once again with students eager to learn more about upcoming classes.
Anne Nicholls, coordinator of the Cooperative Education & Work Experience Program, told students about the fashion-related internship opportunities that are frequently available.
Student Shawn modeled the jacket she made in Tailoring last semester. Beautiful job, Shawn!
Long-time student Sally-Ann had lots of good things to say about the Pants Drafting class. She also polled her fellow classmates to see how many would like to bring the bustier course back. The response was enthusiastic!
