Wayne Wichern, one of our Fashion Department instructors and our favorite hat designer (Wayne Wichern Millinery) will be opening his new millinery studios in the Peninsula Art Institute. 18,000 square feet of former office building space have been renovated and transformed into the new home for the Peninsula Museum of Art and Peninsula Art Institute. The Peninsula Art Institute is an artist studio complex for 29 resident artists, located 1777 California Drive – intersections of Trousdale Drive and El Camino/California Drive in Burlingame. The artists will be moving in this weekend and the Museum is being hung with the inaugural exhibit.
Wayne has advised us he will be late to his own opening as he will be teaching the last Beginning Millinery class at the college. Wayne plans to be open on Sunday, March 17th 11-5 to continue the celebration. Please come by and see his new studios.
